Avocado banana green smoothie

Sometimes i forget how much i love green smoothies. Is it just me or does green signify “healthy” and “natural”. i think part of the appeal is how super easy it is to make this smoothie. But seriously, i love the flavor especially with the fact that it’s packed with a great source of heart healthy fats, nutrients, vitamins, potassium, protein and fiber. I know eating fruits whole is good but taking it as a smoothie combined with other things is pretty much as good if not tastier. it’s definitely a win win if you ask me. Now, combining banana with avocado and parsley is what gives this drink it’s sweet taste but not overly. Here’s how to to make this super easy smoothie.


How to make avocado banana green smoothie
• Prep time:  
5 mins
• Cook time: Nil
• Yield:          Makes two glasses
• Level:         Easy

Ingredients::: 
• 1/2 medium sized avocado, diced. 
• 2 medium sized banana 
• 2 tbsp. honey 
• 1 tbsp. lime juice 
• 1/2 cup parsley 
• 3 cups Ice cubes or chilled water 

 

Directions::: 
Step 1: Combine all the ingredients in a blender and process till smooth. you could start with the parsley and water first, blend till smooth, then add the rest of the ingredients into the blender. 
Step 2: Pour into a glass, garnish with parsley and serve chilled.
