Chocolate Chip Cookies

Looking for a quick biscuit snack to munch on at school, at work or even at a party? Look no further. A dear friend of mine who makes the best chocolate chip cookies ever once said and i quote “If you can’t get it, make it”. This was in response to how she started making this tasty yummies for sale. She has a thriving confectionery business which she started years ago and i must say it’s really impressive.
One of her products which i really love is this tasty cookie. She’s got a wide range from giant chocolate chip cookies to sizable bite size ones. Now some of the ingredients used in making chocolate chip cookies such as chocolate chips can be made from scratch by melting chocolate and piping drops of the melted chocolate on a clean surface. once you refrigerate, it hardens and you’ve got your homemade chocolate chips. You could also roughly crush a bar of chocolate and use also. Without further ado, here’s how it’s made.

    Procedure:::

    Step 1: The first step is to pre-heat the oven to about 360 degrees (Don’t have an oven? Click Here). Place the butter in a microwave/ oven safe bowl and heat it up in either of the kitchen appliances till it melts.

    Step 2: Add the white sugar and brown sugar then mix. Crack the egg into the sugar and butter mixture, then mix further. Add the salt &vanilla flavor – Mix.

    Step 3: Gently fold in the flour and mix till you get a stiff yet pliable dough. Add the chocolate chips and mix to combine everything together. You can work into it with your fingers.

    Step 4: Scoop out about 12 medium sized dough balls onto a clean baking sheet making sure you separate them to give it room to spread when it starts to bake.
    Step 5: Bake for about 10- 12 minutes till it turns slightly golden brown. I’d also spread out a bit giving it a slightly puffy shape. Once it’s ready, remove it from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool for about 3 minutes. Store in an airtight container or refrigerate.
