It’s corn season guys! And when you have an abundance of corn, what do you do? Yes! You guessed right! You bring out your box full of corn recipes :). One of such recipes is this tasty corn dog snack. To best describe this snack perfectly, a corn dog is simply a sausage inserted in a stick, coated with corn batter and deep-fried in hot oil. Sometimes, it’s also garnished with ketchup or mustard as with a regular hot dog. In most places, it’s usually sold as a street food snack….Just grab an go! There are other variations to corn dogs and which includes cheese-filled corn dogs or melted cheese on the outer layer. Without further ado, here’s how to make corn dogs.

Corn Dogs Recipe
A corn dog is simply a sausage inserted in a stick, coated with corn batter and deep-fried in hot oil. Sometimes, it's also garnished with ketchup or mustard as with a regular hot dog.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup Corn Flour
- ¾ cup All-Purpose Flour
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp. Baking Powder
- 1 tsp. Baking Soda
- 1 tbsp. Sugar
- ½ tsp. Salt
- 1 cup Milk
- 10 Sausages
- Cooking Oil for deep frying
Instructions
Step 1: In a bowl, combine the Corn Flour, All-Purpose Flour, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Sugar & Salt together.
Step 2: Add the whisked eggs and milk, then mix till you get a smooth thick batter.
Step 3: Pour the paste into a tall glass cup and set aside
Step 4: Insert each skewer into a sausage and dip the sausage into the tall cup with corn batter.
Step 5: Fry the coated sausages in pre-heated oil till golden brown
Step 6: Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel
Step 7: Drizzle with ketchup, mustard or melted cheese and serve!

1. The batter can be preserved in the freezer or refrigerator if not in use.
