Happy new month dearies!!! :), Hope y’all a gearing up as the spirit of Christmas draws near. Currently, i’m in Ghana and i must say i’m having a swell time *Big Grinnnn*. When I got a ticket to Ghana for my friend’s wedding, I squealed in delight….(yes oooo!!! i luv Awufff!!!!) cos it was really impromptu. Luckily for me, I still had a valid passport so it was a welcomed trip, my much needed get away I guess from the hustle and bustle of Lagos. Apart from the 2 hour delay at the airport, the trip took just 60 minutes.
At the Kotoka Airport, I watched in dismay as my hard earned Naira got reduced to almost nothing, thanks to the exchange rate; 1 Ghanaian cedi equals roughly 72 Naira – I almost fainted there…..lolz! Once I had gotten over that fact, I simply took a cab to my destination.

Ghana is such a beautiful place I tell you. The first thing you’d notice once you’re settled in Ghana is uninterrupted power supply which automatically translates to peace of mind (naija which way????)….No generator noise….No stress. That was when it dawned on me why most top companies were folding up in my dear country and moving to Ghana. From the receptive and simple people, good roads & environment to the various meals the beautiful country has to offer. I had little time to spend in Accra which is the capital so I decided to use my time wisely by heading to the streets to check out some of the indigenous popular local delicacies Ghana had to offer. For the short time I spent there, I was strictly on Ghanaian diet which wasn’t a bad idea at all and I had fun trying most of them out. In the coming days, I’ld bring to you some of the meals I got to sample aii’….Stay tuned 😉 .
