Butter cream icing is an easy to make, egg free frosting for decorating wedding, birthday & party cakes. In my opinion, it’s softer, tastier and more spreadable than most icings. When decorating, this is my go-to frosting for cakes because apart from the taste, it requires little or no effort to make.
Step 2: In a large bowl, cream together the butter and icing sugar, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in the milk and flavor mixture. Continue mixing until it becomes light and fluffy. You can also add a splash of color to give it a different look.
Step 3: Keep the icing covered until you are ready to decorate.
