Noodles prepared with a dash of palm oil sounds like the weirdest meal ever but trust me when I say it’d definitely change your perception about noodles. Adding palm oil to it, it tends to add a native flair to it thereby adding that local appeal to it. If you love native dishes such as native rice and palm oil rice then you’ll love this native palm oil noodles. It’s quite easy and straight forward to make as I’m about to show you.

Ingredients

  • 2 packs of noodles
  • 2 tbsps. palm oil
  • onion - chopped
  • garlic - minced
  • fresh pepper - chopped
  • a handful carrot - chopped
  • a handful spring onion - chopped

Instructions

Step 1: Bring water to a rolling boil and add the packs of noodles. Cook till the noodles is soft to the bite. Set this aside. 

Step 2: In an empty pan, heat up the palm oil. Add the chopped onion, garlic, fresh pepper and noodle seasoning - stir fry for 1 minute. 

Step 3: Add the cooked noodles and mix to combine. Add the chopped spring onions and carrot and leave to cook on low heat for 1 minute. Turn off the burner and serve!
