Watermelon Martini Recipe – Happy hour time!!!

Hi Everyone! How’s the weekend going? Hope good. So today i’ve got this tasty happy hour drink for you. This fruity cocktail is really easy to make.It’s watermelon season and taking advantage of the abundance of this tasty fruit won’t be a bad idea at all. Okay before the cocktail purists have my head for lunch, i know…this isn’t your typical martini. But due to popular culture, drinks served in martini glasses these days are comfortably called martinis :D. Moving forward, So i had fun making the water melon stirrers also and it was really easy . I used bamboo skewers for the body and non-edible beads for tip. Hope you enjoy making this as much as i did. Need alcohol free recipes, check out these mock-tail recipes.

How to make watermelon martini
• Prep:

• Yield:          Makes two cocktails
• Level:         Easy

Ingredients:::
• 1 cup watermelon juice (Strain with a fine mesh sieve) 
• 1 tbsp. Simple syrup** 
• 1 tbsp. Lime juice/ 1 tsp. Lime cordial 
• 1/4 cup Premium Vodka 
• 2 tbsp. Liqueur (i used strawberry flavor) 
• 1 cup ice 
• 2 tbsp. sugar to rim the glass (optional) 
• 2 tbsp. salt to rim the glass (optional) 
• Watermelon slices, for garnish (optional) 
Directions::: 

Step 1: Place 2 glasses in your fridge or freezer to chill for 10 minutes before making the cocktail. 


Step 2: On a flat plate, mix the sugar and salt together. Dampen the rim of the glasses with water or lime juice. Dip the glass rims in the sugar/salt mix till it is well coated. 
Step 3: Combine the watermelon juice, simple syrup, lime juice. vodka and liqueur in a cocktail shaker. Top with ice and shake vigorously for 5-10 times. 
Step 4: Pour the contents into the prepared glass, garnish with watermelon stirrers and serve chilled. 

**How to make simple syrup


In a small pan, add 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 cup of water. Leave to cook slowly over medium heat stirring occasionally until all the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and leave to cool. 

• Transfer to another container or bottle and cover. Can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 months.
