Hope you had a lovely weekend. I really wish I could say same for myself but I really can’t due to my Ordeal with blogger and Google+. I really don’t do this but I felt like sharing my experience with y’all so you wouldn’t make the same mistake I made. If you go through my Food blog, you’d notice most of my Old food pictures are missing….How did that come about? Well, I recently joined the Google+ community and in a bid to reorganize ‘some albums’ I found there which was somewhat odd since I couldn’t remember uploading pictures there, I decided to go on a delete mission. I deleted about two large albums since I thought they were cache files and I logged out. To my greatest dismay when I got back to my blog, all my pictures from the beginning had disappeared…Like 4 real. I searched frantically for answers only to be told that my blog, picasa web album, and Google plus accounts were linked with each other and Once anything is deleted it can’t be retrieved. So sad but that’s the plain truth. Presently, I’m working towards retrieving my pics from various angles and that’s why I’ve been somewhat MIA. I’d keep on posting new recipes while I work on uploading the old pictures. To my readers who informed me of my missing food pics, thanks a lot. I really do appreciate you all…:D….Mmmuuahhh!!!

Oh My, so sorry about this. I shared the moringa post, to my surprise, readers stated asking why I took off the pictures. I visited your blog to look at the images, they were not there. In my confusion, I told them that the pictures may reappear later.
Next time dear, please also try to send all your images as mails to your mail box. I pray you find a way to retrieve them.

Awww, Pélé. Though u should've heeded the caveat that comes up b4 deleting. But I really don't understand why google links blogger photos with google+ & picasa. Is it that they don't have enough cloud space to host the photos differently or what? Me thinks it’s a flaw of sorts in their system. They'd better fix it, else more people will migrate to wordpress (lots of people are doing that already).
Anyway, what u should do now (assuming u haven't done that already) is: Go to ur photos tab on google+ & 'unshare' ur blogger album photos. That way, photos u post on blogger can't be shared to the public on google+, only the images that you share will be visible to your circles.
But sha, the way google tries to link every of their product (from chrome browser to googledrive, blogger, picasa, google+, chrome os, gmail, android os, chromebook etc) to each respective user is really scary – like they're secretly spying/collating ur data for God knows what.
Godspeed in the tedious task of trying to add all the deleted photos manually. Will be praying for u 🙂

Thanks eya! It came as a shock to me also. This has taught me to always back up my files from now on. i tried researching but found out once deleted it cant be retrieved. This is a real loop hole Google admins should look into.

hahaha!!!! welcome back sommie. That's the most annoying and pain tasking part; Manually uploading the pictures from way back when Once more. WordPress seems to be a better choice for most people especially with their easy to use features. You are so right about the link thingy….Really Creepy :s! Pls pray harder for me.
OH that sucks!!!1 Same thing kind of happened to me too! Alot of my old posts are missing pictures! sigh! sucks!!!!!! Hope you can find them!
