Do you also know that the types of food you eat and the amount plays an important role in increasing or reducing your daily energy levels. In fact, did you know that foods high in fat and calories can leave you feeling really tired, since they require more energy to digest? To make better choices and to stay alert all day,you should look more into what you use to fuel your body.
In comes pap enriched with fruits and nuts. For those who don’t know, pap is a starchy food made from corn and is 99.5% purely carbohydrate. This means it’s already in a form which makes it easier for the body to break down to glucose and the human body runs on glucose which is easily converted to energy. Pap could be made into other different forms such as eko, agidi jollof, koko or enriched with other things such as chocolate powder, milk and even fruits.
Ingredients:::
• 3 cups Pap (Already made)
• 1 tbsp. Oats
• 3 slices Kiwi fruit
• 1 tbsp. Raisins
• 5 Almond seeds
Directions:::
Step 1: The first step is to make the pap (ogi/akamu/koko) which has been described here.
Step 2: Next, pour the pap in a bowl and sweeten it with sugar or honey. Add the fruits and nuts to it and serve. Alternatively, you can blend it all together in a blender before serving.
