Recently, I thought about doing something different on this blog and I came up with two different series namely; Member recipes & Street foodie waka . The illustrations for the picture above didn’t take as much time as preparing a food post does either and I had fun doing it though it had to be rushed. Now, here’s a brief rundown on what both initiatives entail.
Street foodie Waka
Nigeria is such a big place with different tribes, cultures and hard working professionals in the food business. Street foodie waka is a series where I get to explore Nigerian food on the street by professionals in different culinary fields and also get recipes from them :D. In a bid to make it fun filled, this series is not limited to street chefs alone but also food outlets, restaurants, Bukas……you name it. As time goes on, you’d get to know more about street foodie waka.
Member Recipes
Now as we all know, everyone is a confirmed foodie within and since I really don’t want to kid myself that I know all cos I really don’t, I’ve decided to create an avenue for members of this blog with cooking skills to showcase what they’ve got and this is intended to bring in a form of diversity . So if you know how to cook or you’ve got unique ideas please do let me know by contacting me with your unique recipes plus step by step pictorials via Email at dobbyssignature@gmail.com. To start off this series, I’ve come up with three different picture posts Titled;
1. Nigerian breakfast meal ideas
2. Nigerian lunch meal ideas
3. Nigerian Dinner meal ideas
Here’s all you have to do, Simply send me a picture of your ready to eat meal stating which category it falls into with any link you want me to add such as your twitter handle, Blog link, facebook, BB pin….etc. If you’ve got pictures of how you prepared it, you could also send to me by email at dobbyssignature@gmail.com or on twitter @dobbyssignature. I’d keep on updating these three pages as time goes by so start sending pictures NOW!!!J

Great idea…looking forward to posts in these series…well done madam
Some of our foods fall into the snack category (indomie doesn't count) which is what most busy people who read your blog would like. Why no allowance for them?.
Okay. If I cook anything worthy of being pictured, I'll send to you.
Excellent idea. You are definitely among the best in recipe curation.
Now this is just what i was thinking about. Cos i've seen such avenues wit oda food bloggers. Weldone gurl!! Thumps up

Hello, I just stumbled upon your blog, I'm not even sure how but I'm really glad I did. Very few African food blogs out there, so it's interesting to know more about the cuisines of Africa; including Nigeria – very new to me. I'm from Algeria, northern neighbour. I'll be following you and trying out from your recipes soon! Cheers!
Such a great idea, and would to be a part of it 🙂

Hi Dobby,
So I'm going to be honest — I find cooking Nigerian (and actually most W. African food) a little intimidating. I have vowed to tackle more West African dishes this summer.
So I'll most likely be replicating some of your own dishes then sending you the pics. lol
Outside of that, this sounds like a great idea! There are quite a few Naija blogs out there and this is another way to standout and be more unique. And it will open so many doors and horizons for you.
Good luck
A.
That would be really nice. looking forward to your contributions 🙂
woww!!!Its wonderful to know i've got an algerian reader *Whoopee*. Thanks for stopping by Heni :). it'd be so nice if we could exchange recipes too *Winks*.
Not to worry Adhis…with me you wouldn't have a problem replicating nigerian food :). Just Email me once you get stuck at any point in time. Thanks for the compliments 🙂
