So recently, i found my old waffle maker sitting pretty in the cabinet where i left it and i figured i hadn’t made waffles in a long while so, i decided to make these delicious banana waffles with left over bananas that were already getting too soft.
A Waffle is a kind of flat indented pan cake cooked between two patterned plates to give it a characteristic size, shape, and surface impression or indentation. the indentation fro the waffle iron is usually square shaped. Waffles are quite similar to pancakes with some obvious differences being that Pancake batter has a lower percentage of sugar than waffle batter, thus pancakes will be less caramelized and Pancake batter has a little bit less fat than waffle batter, thus pancakes are softer while waffles are crispier. Waffles are usually eaten with syrup poured over them or topped with ice-cream.
