Imagine waking up to a warm plate of fluffy pancakes stuffed with chocolate spread and served alongside a tall glass of chilled juice or hot beverage….yummy isn’t it? This pancake recipe is one you’ll totally enjoy. It’s simply the traditional American styled pancakes filled with Nutella and sandwiched together making it look like a pocket when sliced from the middle. For this recipe, I didn’t use butter or flavour but if you want extra flavour, you could add both although it isn’t necessary.
Ingredients You’ll Need In Making chocolate-filled-pancakes (Nutella stuffed pancakes) :::
For this recipe, you’ll need;
Eggs, Sugar, Milk, Flour, Butter (Optional) Baking powder, Flavor essence (optional), Nutella for filling
Utensils You’ll Need;
Non-stick frying pan
A whisk
Directions:::
Step 1: Crack the eggs into a mixing bowl and add the sugar. Whisk to combine together. Add the milk and mix.
Step 2: Sieve the flour and baking powder into the liquid ingredients in the bowl and mix till you get a smooth runny paste. Leave the mixture to sit for about 15 minutes.
Step 3: Heat up the non-stick pan and melt a small teaspoon of butter in the pan. Scoop a spoonful of the mixture with a ladle into the pan. When bubbles start appearing at the top (around 2 minutes), lift up the edge and make sure the underside is golden. Then flip and cook until the other side is golden. Repeat with remaining batter.
Step 4: Spread the Nutella on the top side of one pancake and cover with another pancake.
