Recently got some Fresh tiger shrimp from the local market. Luckily, once you buy in the local market you could request for it to be pre-shelled and deveined and this means much less work for you. To differentiate between prawns and shrimp could be slightly difficult as they are quite similar except for some little differences i.e shrimp are smaller while prawns are larger, shrimp have two tails while prawns have three and a host of others.
To grill shrimp or prawns properly, it’s best to place them on skewers to make them easier to control. Didn’t use skewers for this and therefore had a tough time adjusting the shrimps and picking up the ones that fell on the grilling sheet. Shrimp are best grilled quickly but not over too high heat and also, the worst thing to do is overcook shrimp as this makes it dry and also lose its flavor.
How to grill shrimp/prawns
• Prep time: 15 mins + marinating time
• Cook time: 6 mins
• Meal type: Appetizer / Side dish
Step 2: Mix the chili, thyme, lime juice and salt together in a bowl and gently pour in the shrimp. Mix to incorporate then leave to sit for about 15 mins.
Step 3: Place the shrimp on the grilling rack and gently glaze with vegetable oil
Step 4: Cook in a pre-heated grill for 2-3 mins on each side. They’d turn pink once cooked.
Serve hot alone as an appetizer or with a meal

Quick question Dobby. Do you have a school or some place where you teach people how to cook? Or some sort of training? I'm really interested.
Yummm. U're really good girl! Really impressed with your blog and honestly I must say that I haven't seen any Nigerian food blog as good as yours. From what I see, your kitchen is clean which is hygienic and I Iove the way you make food/drinks attractive.

Hi kikelola, i've really not seen lime juice pre-packed here in Nigeria. To get the juice, simply buy fresh lime from the local Nigerian market and squeeze out the juice
